SPIRIT-DRIVEN ACADEMICS
St. Elizabeth Ann Seton has one of the top middle school programs around—designed to develop the whole child, spiritually and academically. Many of our 7th and 8th graders consistently exceed the NWEA MAP RIT norms for 11th graders, preparing them to stand out in high school and beyond.

Middle school begins in 5th Grade with persuasive writing, long-form projects, and advanced math concepts like fractions and decimals.
Fifth graders are role models in school liturgies and buddy programs, developing leadership and compassion.

Science — Matter, energy, forces, waves, and chemical reactions
Math — Algebraic reasoning, fractions & decimals, geometry, probability
Social Studies — Minnesota history: the fur trade, immigration, conflicts
Language Arts & Reading — Genres (fiction, biography, poetry), grammar, writing types, skits, and discussion
PE — Healthy exercise, teamwork, sportsmanship
Band (optional) — Ensemble, music theory, honor band opportunities

Leadership Through Faith & Service
Middle schoolers lead student masses, rosaries, and prayer services. They complete quarterly service hour requirements (10 hours each) and participate in year-round classroom or community service—earning a grade in Religion class.
